Dance classes for children aged 18 months to 5 years

Their first experience of dance should feel magical.

Our Little Performers programme has been specially created to introduce young children to dance and movement in a fun, nurturing and age-appropriate environment.

Starting from 18 months, children can explore music and movement alongside their parent or guardian in our Baby Bear classes. Then, as their confidence and independence grow, they can progress into our unaccompanied classes, where they’ll begin developing their dance skills while making friends and learning to feel comfortable away from their grown-ups.

From Ballet and Tap to Street Dance and Acro, every class combines learning with imagination and fun. As a result, children develop coordination, musicality, confidence and independence without even realising how much they’re learning.

Most importantly, there’s no expectation for your little one to arrive confident, independent or knowing what to do. That’s what we’re here to help them develop.

As children grow, so does their confidence, ability and love of performing.

Our classes for ages 5–9 give children the opportunity to explore different styles of dance while developing strong foundations in technique, coordination, musicality and performance.

Whether they’re dancing purely for fun or beginning to discover a real passion for performing, our teachers encourage every child to progress at their own pace. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, make friendships, learn new skills and experience the excitement of achieving something they once thought they couldn’t do.

With opportunities to perform, take examinations and explore a variety of dance and performing arts styles, this is where many of our students really begin to discover what they love.

Most importantly, we want every child to leave class feeling proud of themselves and excited to come back.

As our dancers grow, their training grows with them.

Our classes for ages 10+ give students the opportunity to develop stronger technique, performance skills and confidence while exploring the styles they enjoy most.

For some, dance is their favourite weekly escape, a place to see friends, switch off and do something they love. For others, this is the stage where their ambitions begin to grow, with opportunities to take examinations, compete, perform and develop their training further.

Whatever their goals, there is a place for them at Elite.

Alongside their dance and performance skills, students develop resilience, discipline, independence and teamwork. Just as importantly, they become part of a community where friendships are formed, individuality is celebrated and they are encouraged to support one another.

Whether dance becomes their career or simply an important part of growing up, we want the skills, confidence and memories they gain at Elite to stay with them long after they leave the studio.
